Wide Awake at 1:50 am

It is not unusual for me to be awake at this early/late time. I like to have "vampire hours" during the summer time. But I've got to learn that I can't watch "28 days later" and expect to be able to sleep right away. My cat interrupting the movie asking to be fed and the presence of my every reliable protector, Teddy Bear, couldn't prevent the jumpy nerves that I have now.

I am a wimp.

Greetings!:

Unfortunately, like yourself, I too am a night owl, though presumably for a different reason than yours.

When I resolved to become retired just over 4 years ago, I was looking forward to the home life, to being able to play my CD's and tapes, this computer being added to the mix within the first year. And yet I must reluctantly admit that I have now become somewhat jaded, my strong inclination toward laziness combining with this to produce napping during the day and getting up during the night, though thankfully I have recently been doing the latter somewhat later than I was before. Yet there is the occasional project which gets me going, such as preparing for the ceremony whereby I activated my own blog and subsequently preparing an annotated tape of the music for that ceremony for a friend of yours. Thus there is an important book about Bach performance which has been languishing under my scanner for a couple of years or more, and _MAYBE_ I can get myself to pull it up and put it on my scanner for resumed reading by my scan-and-read programme. Should I do that, hopefully it will be difficult to put it back down for long until I finally finish it! And then there are two recently-inspired E-Mails to write, the wished-for replies to which hopefully to contribute to a new blog post I am contemplating. And there is always the exchange of E-Mails with your friend to which to look forward!

Hoping this finds you well,

J. V.

I am well. As my newest entry indicates I do have a member of my family dealing with a serious physical injury. It is one of the reasons I've not posted much.

Thanks for reading. I can relate to your putting off major projects. I have a big box of old pictures I need to review and decide what to scan onto the computer. It just never makes the top of my "to do" list.
